Energy saving transformation of ventilation and air conditioning system of an underground railway station in Chongqing

Analyses the operating data of the ventilation and air conditioning system of the underground railway station and the outdoor meteorological parameters under summer operating conditions. The result shows that the energy consumption is high, with a great energy saving potential. After the comprehensive analysis, adopts the optimization measures including adjusting the set temperature of the station public area, and controlling air system and water system by frequency conversion. Simulation result of the TRNSYS software shows that the energy consumption of ventilation and air conditioning system reduces 18.3% after the energy saving transformation, and the corresponding investment payback period is less than 3 years. It has a good application prospect in the transformation of underground railway stations in Chongqing.
